About Neurosurgery and our Neurosurgeons
UW Health neurosurgeons provide surgical therapy for diseases of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves. Our clinical faculty is composed of nationally recognized practitioners and teachers of neurosurgery. Not only do we employ the latest technology today, we are a testing center for the technology of tomorrow. This gives us the experience to recommend the safest and most effective therapy for our patients.

What We Do                                        Patient Education Materials
Surgery for tumors of the head, spine, and peripheral nerves, including brachial plexus.
Vascular surgery for stroke, carotid artery disease, aneurysm or arterio–venous malformation of the brain or spinal cord.
Spine surgery for herniated disc or pinched nerves.
Complex spine surgery for multilevel degenerative spine disorders.

Deep brain stimulation for Movement Disorders including: Parkinson’s Disease, essential tremor and dystonia.
Pediatric neurosurgery for hydrocephalus, tumor, spina bifida, tethered cord, craniosynostosis, craniofacial abnormalities, and Chiari malformation.
Surgery for trauma of the head, spine, and peripheral nerves including brachial plexus.
